2018 Clare Valley Shiraz - 97 points (sold out)
"Very good colour through to the rim; the bouquet has a complex array of licorice and tantalising warm spices. The palate is full bodied and intense, yet so balanced it doesn't muffle a classic Clare Valley shiraz filled with blackberry and black cherry fruit." - James Halliday
"
The new black packaging works a treat. Hailing from 100yo vines in Polish Hill River, the concentration is literally breathtaking. You can sense the power on the swarthy/leathery/black fruit of the bouquet, the palate doubling down on all that goes before. Its future will be measured in decades not years – needs the optimism of matriarch Claire Marie O'Leary." - James Halliday
"Cabernet in Clare takes on its own meaning, its own structure and flavour (providing the producer gets it right). It's right on, here. Everything is in its place, from dark spiced fruits, spread of mint chocolate, woodsy spices and tannins. There's a freshness, too, refreshing acidity and smooth tannins." - Jane Faulkner
"Fermented in new French oak, followed by 6 months barrel maturation. Ripe peach, as is familiar in the Hills, very focused on the fruit feels. There's raw cashew and almond meal on the palate, too, for further richness. Simple and direct styling works well here." - Tony Love
2020 Watervale Riesling - 91 points (sold out)
"Lots of refreshing citrus flavours mingle with mouth-watering lemony acidity. Some texture with a little chalkiness and no reason to wait a minute more." - Jane Faulkner
